About SashaBa Nails

Hi, I’m Sasha, a nail artist, educator, and nail supply shop owner.

My journey with nails began in 2017 when I first learned gel nails for myself, sparking my passion for the craft. In 2019 and 2020, I took my first professional courses in manicure, gel pedicure, and gel extensions, setting the foundation for my career.

In 2021, I began my professional journey in Australia, working from home and at one of the most luxurious high-end salons in South Yarra, where I had the incredible opportunity to be featured on Real Housewives of Melbourne. After some time, I became the salon’s educator, training other nail technicians and refining my skills with top international educators.

By 2022, I had completed a nail instructor course and continued expanding my expertise, earning my nail educator certification in 2023. I specialise in hard gel leveling and dual form extensions, working exclusively with premium gel products. Throughout my career, I have tested different materials but discovered that I have a strong reaction to monomer, which led me to prioritise safety for both myself and my clients—making my salon a gel-only space.

Imagine my surprise—starting my job at a high-end salon in early 2021, only to face my first COVID lockdown just a month later. What I thought would be a smooth start to my new career in Australia quickly turned into one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever faced. Melbourne and Victoria went through some of the world’s longest lockdowns, and for approximately 150 days, I couldn’t work or earn anything. However, I turned this challenge into an opportunity—dedicating that time to refining my skills through extensive education, which ultimately shaped me into the artist and educator I am today.

In my nail tech work in the city I commuted nearly two hours each way from Warragul to work in the city, quickly becoming a fully booked with client base at the work and my salon. Eventually, I made the decision to transition to working from my own studio, where I continue to provide high-quality services. However, I love to travel for education, frequently visiting my students’ salons to train them, collaborate, or create special sets. I am incredibly grateful for everyone who chooses me as their educator or their nails tech and I take great pride in helping others elevate their skills.

My Inspiration

One of the biggest challenges I faced in Australia was the lack of access to professional-grade nail products. I wanted to bring something that is comfortable for nail technicians to work with and safe for clients, so in 2023, I launched my own nail supply shop. What started as a small project has been growing rapidly, allowing me to support more students and professional nail technicians with high-quality products.

Currently, I no longer take new clients because my schedule is fully booked with my regulars, but my focus remains on education, product development, and helping nail professionals elevate their craft.
